Dewey’s 24 hour read-a-thon wrap-up

Hello! The read-a-thon ended a couple of hours ago but I haven’t had the time to update here yet. I managed to finish one book “The Impossible Knife of Memory” by Laurie 18079527Halse Anderson and I read a couple of chapters in “One Seriously Messed-Up Weekend in the Otherwise Un-Messed-Up Life of Jack Samsonite” by Tom Clempson. All in all I read a little over 400 pages which is pretty good for me.

16107307I started out the read-a-thon strong and read for a few solid hours. Although in hour 7 I made dinner with my sister and ended up spending most of the evening with her. So when I got to bed in hour 11 I took up reading again. I read for an hour or so and then I fell asleep. When I woke up about seven hours later I started reading right away and read on and off for the rest of the time.

In conclusion I think I did pretty good. I might not have the best attention span but I am trying and that counts for something. I am proud over myself for continuing to try to participate in these read-a.thon and this one is by far my best. Next time I will try to update more and maybe prepare more snacks to keep me more energized. I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend and were able to read something.
